DESCRIPTION:Our Breastfeeding Moms Community will meet at Guiding Star Cedar Valley on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 9:30am-11am. Childwatch is available and you can register here. Each meeting will be led by Susan Wirtjes who has been assisting women on their breastfeeding journeys for more than 50 years! Our vision for this group is that it will be a place where women will meet other like-minded mothers and support professionals. We will encourage sharing of experiences in a non-judgmental setting. Moms will be offered options and alternatives to help them make choices that fit well with their parenting style. We want to help women feel supported\, empowered and affirmed in their motherhood journey. Pregnant women welcome!

SUMMARY:Stress Less\, Cycle Well (Teen Edition)
DESCRIPTION:We’ve been hearing more and more that young women don’t always have access to the kind of education that helps them truly understand their cycle – and everything that comes with it. \nUnderstanding your cycle and hormonal fluctuations is one of the most important ways women can prioritize their health\, so we’re creating a space just for teens! 🤍 \nThis session is designed to help teens\, ages 15/16 – 19/20\, better understand what’s actually happening in their body\, while also talking about something that impacts it more than we realize… stress. Between navigating friendships and relationships\, knowing what foods to eat during the different phases\, struggles with sleep\, different feelings at each stage of the menstrual cycle\, and struggles with body image\, it’s a lot – and your cycle can feel it too. \nJoin Julie Grunklee\, RN\, FCP where teens will learn about the menstrual cycle\, different kinds of stress\, and how stress affects their cycle (or their gynecological health – which affects overall health and wellbeing)\, and what they can do about it. Teens will also learn about hormonal fluctuations that occur throughout their cycle\, to create a deeper understanding of themselves\, and the phase of the cycle they are in. \nJulie is an RN\, National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach\, FertilityCare Practitioner\, and holds a Masters Degree in Community Health Education with nearly 30 years of experience in helping others understand how they were designed\, as well as helping them discover the strategies they need to lead happy\, healthy\, vibrant lives by aligning with that design. \nIt can be so overwhelming trying to balance everything\, and not understand the many ways your health is connected.
