Together, Kelli Switzer and Angie Wilson make the dynamic duo that is Switzer and Wilson Counseling. Both counselors will be serving women/couples at Guiding Star Cedar Valley in the areas of postpartum depression, infant loss, infertility, among other areas that focus on women, couples and the family.
Kelli Switzer, LISW, RPT/S, received her Bachelor’s degree in 2005 and went on to receive her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of St. Thomas/College of St. Catherine in 2007. She then started working as a clinical therapist shortly afterwards. Kelli opened her own private practice in 2018. She provides therapy to children, adolescents, families, and adults ranging from a variety of different issues. Two of Kelli’s favorite areas of specialty include play therapy and trauma focused treatment. Kelli has a passion for helping others heal from the struggles that are presented in their lives and guiding them toward a happier well-being. When Kelli isn’t helping others, she is at home spending quality time with her children and husband.
Angie Wilson, LISW, RPT-S, first entered the world of therapy in 2004 and opened Wilson Counseling in 2018. She also is a specialist in play therapy and loves leading families from hardships to healing. She believes that all people start to heal, the moment they feel heard. She admires clients and knows that it takes a great deal of bravery to open up about hardships or struggles in everyday life. When Angie isn’t in the office, she loves being outside and in nature. She loves going on hikes with her husband and two dogs. She also enjoys traveling the world with her husband.
