“I am a family physician, and absolutely love what Guiding Star stands for! When taking care of families through the years, I have witnessed the harm to body, mind and spirit that artificial contraception creates. I have had a conversion of heart. I am have gained certification in NaPro Technology, and because of that I want to teach women to learn about their bodies and cooperate with them through normal functioning. Hagarty Waychoff Grarup Funeral Services

Designing a funeral can seem overwhelming. Hagarty Waychoff Grarup is here to help you walk through decisions one-by-one and make this journey one of love, healing, and celebration. The process can be broken down into two stages: the service and how to honor your loved one’s life, and deciding how to care for your loved one’s physical remains.

At Guiding Star, we partner with Hagarty Waychoff Grarup through our Miscarriage & Infant Loss Support pillar of care. Every year together, we hold the “No Matter How Small” Memorial Event/Burial Service to lay to rest the babies who have been miscarried in the past year. We do this to support those who have gone through the loss of a child in the past year, 10 years, 20 years and so on.

Midwifery Services-Kristi Allison

Kristi Allison is a Certified Nurse Midwife in the Cedar Valley Area. She has recently become certified in the FEMM (Fertility Education and Medical Management) Model of natural fertility care. Along with seeing and supporting mothers through their pregnancy journeys and deliveries, she also advises women and couples on their natural fertility. Here are a few words from Kristi:

“The mission of Guiding Star Cedar Valley is needed and very essential to our community. As a wife, mother, and certified nurse midwife I fell in love with the message that we must empower women, embrace children, and enrich families. Girls need to grow up knowing their dignity, worth, and how their bodies are so beautifully created. Women and couples must have the opportunity to learn about their fertility. Mothers need a holistic support system that embraces their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Guiding Star is the answer to all of these needs which is why I am proud to serve on the Board of Directors.”
